Nobody started knowing everything about aviation in general and online flying in particular. Above all our goal is to have fun doing what we like, flying. At the same time we have the opportunity to deepen our knowledge about aviation, while trying to fly using real world procedures. This can be achieved either through the educational sessions organized by our virtual company and other organizations in our community of online flying, or by reading the various manuals available on the internet. The level of reality one can achieve depends on the individual’s will to learn and of course the available time.

Requirements:

·         You have to be members of VATSIM or IVAO. Without a valid membership number to one of these organizations you cannot join Olympic Air Virtual. All flights have to be online in one of these networks. Person of any age can join us.

·         In order to become a member of OAV select “JOIN US” at the end of this page. For any inquiries please contact the Pilots’ Manager.

·         You will become members of OAvirtual at Yahoogroups. This is the main communication method in OAV.

·         You will also receive credentials for our TeamSpeak server, where you can meet with the other members, ask help with any problems you might have and discuss about our hobby.

Olympic Air Virtual comprises of 4 subsidiaries:

o    Olympic Air:

§  Simulates the schedule and procedures of real Olympic.

§  Free selection of flights from company’s schedule.

§  Requires 6 flights every 6months.

o    Olympic Airlines:

§  Simulate the schedule and procedures of real Olympic while incorporating a financial model. Therefore each flight has expenses and brings income.

§  Requires FSPassengers for the submission of PIREP.

§  Participation in FSAirlines.

§  Requires 6 flights every 2 months.

o    Olympic Cargo:

§  Using cargo aircraft transports cargo all over the world.

§  Requires FSPassengers for the submission of PIREP.

§  Participation in FSAirlines.

§  Requires 8 flights every 2 months.

o    Olympic Charter:

§  Transports passengers to tourist destinations around the world.

§  Requires FSPassengers for the submission of PIREP.

§  Participation in FSAirlines.

§  Requires 8 flights every 2 months.

All new pilots start from Olympic Air after reaching 100 hours of flight time can be transferred to one of the other subsidiaries.

All new members must send at least 1 PIREP (PIlot REPort) within a month of becoming members.
