The Airbus A300 is a short to medium range widebody aircraft. Launched in 1972, it was the first twin-engined widebody in the world, and the first aircraft created by the Airbus consortium of European aerospace companies. With its 4,000nm/7,700km range, the A300-600 has the capability to fly all major regional routes of the world’s main economic regions. The A300-600 seats 266 passengers in a typical two-class layout, taking full advantage of Airbus’ trademark 222-inch fuselage cross-section.
