The Aerosoft A340-600 Pro for MSFS is now here.

Aerosoft, in partnership with ToLiss, has released its A340-600 Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The Airbus A340-600 is the largest variant of the Airbus A340 family and was designed for long-haul, high-capacity routes. Entering service in 2002, the aircraft stretches over 75 metres, making it one of the longest passenger aircraft ever built. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engines, the A340-600 was operated by airlines such as Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, and Iberia, becoming known for its distinctive four-engine layout and impressive intercontinental range.

The aircraft features a custom-built flight model designed to accurately represent the handling characteristics of the A340-600. Aerosoft notes that the model simulates individual control surfaces such as ailerons and spoilers, along with realistic lift and drag behaviour and Airbus-style flight control laws, including Normal, Alternate, and Direct Law protections.

Systems simulation will also play a major role, with detailed modelling of the aircraft’s hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and bleed air systems. The aircraft will feature over 300 possible failures, which can occur randomly, at specific phases of flight, or be triggered manually.

The aircraft’s FMGS suite will include three functional MCDUs and dual autopilots operating independently. The system supports Airbus-style vertical navigation, holding patterns, route offsets, and pilot-defined waypoints, with SimBrief integration available through ACARS.
